David Kalife was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Oman Oil Marketing Company in May 2017. An industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience, Kalife has earned a reputation for driving innovation, talent management, and successfully managing international subsidiaries in complex environments. A French national, David Kalife is responsible for spearheading the company’s growth strategy, with a focus on developing its business network, market share in the region, brand influence and international relations.
Kalife’s extensive professional background includes over a decade of experience in leadership roles. During his 21 years at oil giant Total S.A., Kalife earned a reputation for promoting a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and customer centricity by managing complexity in a consistent way while continuously developing people and finding new talents. Beyond growth, David Kalife believes in agility and sustainability. During his years at Total, he boosted the growth of lubricants and special fluids in China, then oversaw the development of fuel and non-fuel revenues in the South West Pacific region in addition to sealing successful partnerships in the Middle East with Hitachi Construction Machinery, Michelin, AW Rostamani Trading, KIA Motors among others.
David Kalife graduated from Neoma MSc and holds a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD where he subsequently acted as an interviewer. A speaker of seven languages including German, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish and Hindi, Kalife is also a keen humanitarian and a founding member of Fleur de Bitume, one of France’s largest charitable associations for the homeless. Kalife enjoys swimming, backpacking in Asia and Africa and holds a black belt in martial arts. He loves cooking and writing poetry.
